MARGAO: Friends and well-wishers of noted writer and activist Shridhar Kamat, who breathed his last at his residence, at Gogol, Margao bid a tearful farewell.
Family sources informed that he fought with liver cancer for the past one month until his death on Wednesday.
Shridhar, had pledged his body for medical education and so the mortal remains will be moved to GMC.
Vijai Sardesai, Reginaldo Lourenco, Digambar Kamat, Prashant Naik, Siddhanath Buyao and many other prominent people paid their respects.
"Shridhar created, sculpted people like me and I am his student. As a music composer too he has contributed a lot, said Saish Palondikar, while remembering his contribution to the Goa Bachao Abhiyan.
