VASCO: The Goa Women’s Forum (GWF), as part of its ongoing campaign to free Goa from being portrayed as a sex tourism destination, has written to the Mormugao mamlatdar and municipal chief officer on Tuesday to act against an escort service for featuring the availability of high profile call girls in Vasco and Sancoale on its website.
As per the press release issued by GWF member Lorna Fernandes, in a letter emailed to Mormugao Mamlatdar Satish Prabhu and Municipal Chief Officer Gaurish J Shankhwalkar, GWF has provided the information from the Escort Service website wherein the availability of high profile call girls in Vasco and Sancoale has been featured. The website also has obscene photographs of housewives and college girl students that are available for sexual encounters and the price.
In its letter, GWF pointed out that if promotion of sex tourism continued on unchecked, it will seriously affect the image and family life in Mormugao taluka. Moreover, it will result in criminals using residences and hotel rooms to facilitate the supply of calls girls to meet the demand created by this escort service website.
GWF has requested the officials to file an FIR against the escort service in Vasco police station with regards the written material and photographs available on the website.
