Street Voices: When Crime Branch is under a cloud, should they continue to investigate Suleiman Khan case ?

PANJIM: Absconding Siddiqui alias Suleiman Khan has blamed SP Crime Branch, and police teams stating that they are major players behind escorting him and that he did not escape. In this edition of Street Voices, Herald TV spoke to people on whether when the Crime Branch is under a cloud should they continue to investigate the Suleiman Khan case?

It is not an escape to victory. It is an escape made on purpose. They would have done his encounter. Police, Bureaucrats and politicians are involved. And this is happening under the leadership of Dr Pramod Sawant. So if any investigation is to be done, whether it is by CBI, CID or Crime Branch, no investigation will be free and fair with Pramod Sawant as the CM of Goa.

When police are unable to solve the case, it is sent to the Crime Branch in whom people had faith. But when Suleiman was escorted by constable Amit Naik, people were astonished. Has Crime Branch become a hotel where people check in and check  out? When a criminal escapes with the help of the constable, I think the water has reached over the head. The video where Suleiman claims that the SP and 12 policemen assisted his escape, this is like a Hindi Movie.

This case where Suleiman has been escorted by a constable and safely reached to Hubli, should not be given to the Crime Branch to investigate. It should be given to the next highest agency and investigated on priority, because it is a major crime. A video has gone viral about the escape. Another video which makes allegations has also to be authenticated. Also a one man commission should be appointed since high profile persons are involved.

I have seen the Suleiman Siddiqui video exposed by Congressman. What is happening? Suleiman has claimed that the police have escorted him with a 12 member team. Are police doing this? He is read to surrender provided the case is handed to CBI. He has taken the name of one MLA too. What do you’ll want to do? Are you out to finish the law and order in Goa? I advise Amit Naik not to commit suicide. I can assure him he will get justice from the court if he is not guilty.
