PANJIM: The Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) will unveil the translocated banyan tree at Campal on Friday, June 21, on Vat Pournima Day.
On the same day, the IPSCDL will showcase its remarkable infrastructure initiatives under the Smart City Mission in the capital city. This day marks International Yoga Day,Vat Purnima, and World Music Day, with a series of events planned to highlightthe city’s development and community engagement.
To commence the festivities, the IPSCDL will host an International Yoga Day session at Yog Sethu from 7 am to 8 am. Yog Sethu completes a year since its inauguration on June 21 last year.
The translocated banyan tree will be unveiled at 11 am at Campal Parade ground, which is currently being developed into a state-of-the-art sports ground and greencommunity space, enhancing recreational and environmental amenities in Panjim.
Meanwhile World Music Day celebrations will be held at Gyan Sethu from 5 pm to 6:30 pm. This event aims to bring together musicians, singers and music enthusiasts from all walks of life to showcase their talents in a scenic and inspiring setting.
