Bicholim Truck Owners Protest Against 12-Wheeler Ore Transport by Vedanta Contractor

BICHOLIM : The Bicholim Truck Owners Association stands firm on their decision not to allow ore transportation with twelve-wheeler trucks. They said they will not operate their trucks if the 12 wheeler trucks are operating.  Vedanta has hired a new transport contractor from outside Goa called S K Khaitan on contract basis to run the 12 wheeler trucks due to which the local truck owners do not get business to ferry ore in the various mines around Bicholim.

S K Kaitan has started transportation from the last 4 days. The local transporters have however stopped the transport.
