Two fugitive foreigners nabbed in Candolim

Calangute: Two nationals who were wanted by Delhi police were nabbed at Candolim on Friday. Aziza Tanrykulyyeva, a Turkmenistan national and her husband Sherget Afghan Noor Ahmed Hakimi, an Afghanistan national, are accused in many serious crimes registered at Delhi including attempt to murder, cheating, forgery, abduction, immoral trafficking etc and were not attending the trial in various courts, for which they were declared as proclaimed offenders by the courts at Delhi.

They were arrested after a Delhi police team arrived in Goa on Friday with information that the husband-wife duo were residing in the jurisdiction of Calangute police station and requested police assistance in tracing and apprehending them.

On receipt of the information, a police team was formed under the supervision of PI Calangute Milind Bhuimbar, SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe and SP North Nidhin Valsan,  comprising of PSI Anil Polekar and others. After developing information and hectic efforts both wanted accused were caught from Bamonvaddo, Candolim and handed over to the Delhi police team by following all legal procedures. The accused were then placed under arrest by the Delhi police and after obtaining transit remand from the JMFC, Mapusa, both were taken to Delhi.
