MARGAO: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said that the Vande Bharat trains will drastically cut down rail journeys between several places including Goa and Mumbai.
“Goa is connected with all four modes of transport and it’s a positive point for States overall development,” said Sawant. He then added that direct connectivity with 20 more cities of the country from Dabolim Airport started after commencement of Mopa Airport and he asserted that the Dabolim Airport will also remain functional.
“The proposal of Mopa Airport connectivity with the Pernem Railway station and from there to the neighbouring States of Maharashtra and Karnataka is under process,” added Sawant.
He also spoke about how the Mormugao Port Trust connectivity road with the National Highway will be completed in near future and that the government is trying to start Tourism activity on a large scale at the Mormugao Port.
