PANJIM: Goa Pollution Control Board Chairman Mahesh Patil said, “The three clubs that were sealed (and O Heraldo reported that parties were on in full swing in them) did not have consent to operate under the Air and Water Act. Then we learnt from the press

(O Heraldo) that the same places had announced parties. We informed the Collector since he’s the caretaker of the area and I sent my own team on August 14. Our team took photographs and the area continues to be sealed. The police and talathi were present there.”

The facts are not all that complicated. The pictures published with the story of Dubki were taken at 11.57 pm

(as per time stamp) on August 13, well past the 10 pm deadline and that to at club that was ‘sealed’. The party went on till the wee hours of August 14. The GSPCB team went to the spot  in the day tie on August 14, when the club was conveniently ‘sealed’.

Mahesh Patil then asked interestingly, “If seals are intact, then is there any other entry? We have asked for a report. If we don’t get the report by tomorrow (August 18) will ask again.”
