Youngest sarpanch resigns

VALPOI: Nagargao Sarpanch Parag Khadilkar, who is the youngest to hold that office in the State, has tendered his resignation to the Directorate of Panchayats on ground that he wants new person to take over the charge of Panchayat body.

VALPOI: Nagargao Sarpanch Parag Khadilkar, who is the youngest to hold that office in the State, has tendered his resignation to the Directorate of Panchayats on ground that he wants new person to take over the charge of Panchayat body.  
Khadilkar contested and won panchayat election for the first time in 2017; he was just 21 then. Subsequently, he served as sarpanch for one year.
“Under my leadership, the panchayat carried out many developmental works likes water filtration plant, roads, footh paths, culvert, started two Kadamba bus services from Nagargao, laid foundation stone for community hall and proposed aganwadi. I got the complete support and encouragement from Health Minister and Valpoi MLA Vishwajit Rane,” he said of his achievements in the last one year.
It is learnt that Laxmi Harwalkar will take over as the new sarpanch of Nagargao.
