In a new political twist, Vasco based social worker Amin Mullha, who had unsuccessfully contested 2012 assembly polls, has come forward to extend his support to NCP candidate from Vasco Jose Philip D’Souza. Addressing newsmen in Vasco, Amin Mullha claimed that both the national parties, including Congress and the BJP, failed to reach out to the poor and under-privileged section of the society and so he has decided to support D’Souza.  

While speaking to reporters in Siolim, Goa Forward Candidate Vinod Palyekar said that he would “win the elections with a lead of 5000+ in the upcoming assembly elections and claimed that citizens of Siolim are wise enough not to vote and elect political garbage like Mandrekar” this time. Vinod further said that Mandrekar is not even in the picture and probably would land in the third place.
