PANJIM: Amid widespread apprehensions about the eventual closure of Dabolim airport and its impact on the economy of South Goa, Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho has assured that Dabolim Airport will not be closed. We are very clear on this, Mauvin said.

A government delegation will meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this. A number of international flights are shifting to Mopa airport in the North, since its inception.
