
Goa government has announced a tie up with various training institutions like NCERT, Indian school of business and so on across India to train all the government high school teachers in Goa. CM Sawant stated that upgradation of the government schools in terms of infrastructure and faculty wise have been implemented to raise the standards of the government school.
Chief Minister Sawant affirmed, "The upgradation of government schools in terms of infrastructure and faculty is pivotal to enhancing educational standards." Secretary of Education, Prasad Lolayekar, elaborated on the initiative, stating, "We are embarking on a mission to provide training to all government school teachers. Our collaboration with various institutions for teacher training marks a significant step towards achieving this goal." He also announced the implementation of the CM Vidya scheme starting from this year, reflecting the government's unwavering commitment to educational reform.
However, amidst these progressive measures, concerns have surfaced regarding government-aided schools charging additional fees from students despite receiving government support. Chief Minister Sawant addressed this issue, urging parents not to succumb to such demands. He emphasized the government's stance on ensuring accessible and affordable education for all students, regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds.
Moreover, the government is in the process of revising recruitment rules and regulations for various government posts, signaling a broader commitment to administrative reform. Additionally, the National Education Policy (NEP) will be implemented from Standard 9 onwards, aligning Goa's educational framework with national standards.
Chief Minister Sawant reiterated the government's pledge to provide quality education to every student in Goa. With approximately 100 Higher Secondary Schools (HSS) across the state, he emphasized the importance of ensuring that not a single student is left without admission, thereby reaffirming the government's commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in education.
