On the evening of October 19, 2023, the vigilant law enforcement authorities in Goa acted swiftly and decisively, following credible intelligence. A meticulously executed operation unfolded between 19:15 and 21:05 at an apartment nestled in the heart of Gaurawado Calangute, Bardez. In this dramatic turn of events, two individuals, identified as Prajeesh hailing from Kundapura, Udupi, and Suman Harshith, a resident of Mangalore, found themselves caught red-handed as they were deeply embroiled in illegal betting activities.

Their focus was laser-sharp, honed in on the exhilarating live ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 match, a face-off between cricketing giants India and Bangladesh. To facilitate their illicit operations, they employed an arsenal of modern tools, including mobile phones and a laptop. However, their nefarious activities came to a screeching halt when the authorities swept in with precision and authority.

During the course of the operation, law enforcement seized a treasure trove of incriminating evidence, comprising eight mobile phones, a laptop, and a television set, collectively valued at an estimated Rs. 1,50,000. As the investigation unfolds, it remains under the astute guidance of PSI Rajaram Bagkar from the Calangute Police Station, diligently supervised by PI Calangute Paresh Naik and SDPO Porvorim Vishwesh Karpe.
