Pathology Reports Clear Accused SUV Driver in Vagator Tragedy of Narcotics and Alcohol

In the aftermath of the tragic incident at Vagator involving Sachin Venu Gopal Kurup, the driver of a Haryana-registered SUV, the latest blood analysis report has revealed no presence of narcotic substances or alcohol in his system. Kurup, a 42-year-old from Pune, is facing culpable homicide charges following a reckless driving incident at a Vagator resort that led to the unfortunate demise of Remedia Albuquerque, the resort owner.

The pathology report also indicated a NIL blood alcohol level for the accused, dispelling any notion of alcohol impairment during the incident. The collision occurred as Kurup, allegedly visiting a friend at the resort, collided with Albuquerque, who was on the phone outside the reception area. Two resort staff members, Shiv Mangal Dindo and Rupa Paras, also sustained injuries and are currently receiving medical care.

The Anjuna police have taken legal action against Kurup under section 304 IPC for culpable homicide not amounting to murder. Despite local allegations suggesting that the accused appeared disoriented and showed no remorse for the severe consequences of his actions, the pathology reports, clearing him of narcotics and alcohol involvement, add a new dimension to the ongoing investigation.
