People fall into a hole before paying Commercial taxes at Quepem

QUEPEM: The entrance to the Commercial taxes department building, at Quepem has developed holes, which may cause the visitors to the department to trip and fall. The department serves people of Quepem and Sanguem taluka for registration and tax payment purpose.

A few days ago an elderly person tripped and fell into the hole and had to be rushed to a hospital.

The commercial tax department at Quepem is located in a private building. The entrance poses danger to tax payers and residents since they can fall and injure themselves. To alert the visitors the officials have placed wooden sticks into the holes.

There is also lot of loose muck lying in front of the entrance. This mud was brought for some construction but has not been removed. The entire entrance looks shabby with no cleanliness has been done.

Earlier, the department building was located in Curchorem and has now been shifted to Quepem. Neither the commercial tax department nor the building owners has bothered to repair the holes, remove the mud or keep the entrance clean.
