PORVORIM: TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane has said that his department wants to bring an amendment to impose fine of Rs 25 lakh on illegal plotting in orchard land. He also said that the amendment will not allow conversion of orchard land to settlement zone.
Till now action has been taken in total 900 cases by TCP department which include illegal plots and hill cutting Rane said.
He also said all big projects will have to get Indian Green Council approval. Rane also reiterated that Goa has no option but to go vertical, he added.
