The Kala Academy roof collapse is set to become the hotly debated topic in the Assembly session that begins on Tuesday, July 18. The Opposition parties in the former Assembly Sessions have cornered the government on the "Taj Mahal" statement made by Art and Culture Minister Govind Gaude.
On Monday, the roof of the open-air auditorium at Kala Academy collapsed, restarting the tussle between the ruling party and the Opposition. The opposition accused the government of corruption as soon as the incident happened. Chances are that opposition leaders will bring up this issue during the Legislative Assembly, which commences on Tuesday.
Earlier in assembly sessions, the opposition frequently accused the government and the minister of art and culture of corruption, referring Kala Academy to the Taj Mahal.
Though the numbers are less the Opposition will try to cash in on this opportunity to corner the Government.
