Panjim: Tiatr ‘Piki Piki Kazule’ presented by Fulte Machi Mogi Nirmiti, Raia bagged the first prize at the Tiatr Academy of Goa (TAG) 9th Children’s Tiatr Competition.
Tiatr ‘Nach Bai Nach’ presented by Milagres Socio-Cultural Sports and Film Craft Academy, Colvale and tiatr ‘Do...Re...Mi’ presented by Mario Santan Fernandes, Cabo-de-Ramai won the second and third prizes respectively.
The tiatr festivalwas organized in collaboration with Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco from Nov 26 to Dec 11 at Ravindra Bhavan, Vasco. All together 13 tiatrs participated in the competition.

Best Choral: Leha, Clarissa, Savy and Adrian Fernandes (first prize), Malcolm, Sweanal, Shanelly Pinto, Rochelle, Aloyd and Rhea Miranda
Best Lyrics:
Mathew Fernandes (first prize), Salvador Afonso (second prize).
Best Script:
Marciano Noronha (first prize), Mario Fernandes (second prize).
Best Setting: Filipe Gomes
Best Light Effects: Shantaram Pawar
Best Music: Vitorino Araujo
Best Background Music: Prasad Kalangutkar
Best Makeup: Eknath Naik
Best Costumes: Sandra Gonsalves
The competition was judged by Augie D’Melo, Marta De Souza and Sanjay Mapare. The prizes were distributed at the hands of noted tiatrist Mario Menezes, who was the chief guest for the award presentation ceremony.
The highlights of the awards ceremony was presentation of a Konkani musical show by selected singers amongst the participating troupes of the competition. President of TAG, Gurudas Pilarnekar, besides officials of Ravinda Bhavan, Vasco, were also present on the occasion. The event was compeered by Rocson Fernandes.
