Storytelling through music

The opening song rendered by the writer/director/producer speaks about her successful entry on stage and the achievements thereafter as a comedienne. 

The story kicks off with the arrival of two friends, Shana (Humbert) and Miku (Sally), who are seamen by profession. Once in Goa, the two decide that it was high time they settled down. They say it’s better late than never and promise to assist each other in their mission to find brides.

On the way home, Shana encounters Bula (Joana), who has a speech deformity which usually leads to a lot of confusion, like in this situation. Despite this, Shana accepts Bula as his future spouse. He leaves with the assurance of meeting at the same spot shortly.

On realising that his comrade has parted with his packet of grams, Miku goes in search of Shana and accidentally meets Bula. The same episode of misinterpretation due to speech impairment follows, but Miku too is keen on picking Bula as his life partner. 

Shortly thereafter, Miku and Shana encounter Bula at the same spot simultaneously and a hilarious confrontation follows. The two gear up to meet Bula’s granny (Diana), who also has impairments. Will Bula’s grandma succeed in settling the score in an amicable manner? Who will win Bula over? Watch the VCD for the interesting finale. 

Songs rendered by Samenca/Rosy, Selvy, Tony de Ribandar/Joana focus on societal themes and calls for instant introspection. Perhaps more songs in the form of a trio and choral in between the acts would have enriched the album. Filipe Barretto and Johnny Pereira have handled the music and the background efficiently.
