MARGAO: Goa Sports Council of the Deaf extended its heartfelt congratulations to Aahil Sheikh for his stellar performance at the XXVI National Deaf Senior Swimming Championship 2025 organised by the All India Sports Council of the Deaf and hosted by the Kerala Sports Council of the Deaf, at the Jimmy George Sports Hub Swimming Pool, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, recently.
Aahil Sheikh showcased his exceptional talent and unwavering dedication by securing a total of five medals - four gold and one bronze - while also setting a New National Meet Record (NMR). His remarkable achievements include: Gold – 1500m freestyle, gold – 800m freestyle, gold – 400m freestyle, gold – 200m freestyle (New National Meet Record) and bronze – 100m butterfly.
Aahil’s passion and relentless dedication to swimming have been honed under the expert guidance of coach Sujith TA, at the Khelo India State Centre of Excellence, Panjim. His triumph has not only brought immense pride to Goa but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring deaf athletes across the nation.
