RAIA: ABC Sports Club, Arambol, edge out Betalbatim Sporting Club 5-4 on penalties after a gripping 2-2 draw in the regulation time, booking a place in the semi-finals of 46th Cana Benaulim Soccer Championship at the Benaulim panchayat ground, on Monday.
Betalbatim SC struck first goal through Brenson in the 23rd minute. ABC Arambol brought parity through Preston’s slick finish in the 35th minute and Pranesh Asvenkar’s sharp header of a rebound in the 40th minute gave them the lead.
Aniston dazzled with a solo effort to level the score. In the tie-breaker, Klusner and Aniston scored for Betalbatim SC while Sanford, Manuel and Myson netted for ABC Arambol.
