RAIA: Agxem Sports Club were crowned champions in the Silver Jubilee inter-ward football tournament organised by SFX Sports Club, Camarxett, by defeating Corjem Youth Club 3-0, at the St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, recently.
The final was played in front of large crowd. Mario opened the account for Agxem Sports Club in the first session. Crossing over, Savio Peixoto scored a brace for the winners.
Curtorim MLA and Goa Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Reginaldo Aleixo Lourenco was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Curchorem Police Station Police Inspector Vaibhav Naik, St Alex Church, Curtorim, Parish Priest Fr Manuel Dias, Conceicao Fernandes and other dignitaries and club officials.
