RAIA: Goa top seed U-15 badminton player Dimple Revankar qualified for main draw in the U-15 singles category at the ongoing Yonex Sunrise All India Sub Junior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2025 at Panchkula, Haryana, on Friday.
Dimple showed remarkable determination starting her campaign from the qualifiers, she powered her way into main draw. Demonstrating her skills and fighting spirit, she defeated Madhya Pradesh Kartika Pathak (15-11, 15-13), Haryana Sanvi (15-9, 15-10) and Uttar Pradesh Manya Singh (15-12, 15-13). Dimple gave her spirited performance against the seeded Tamilnadu player pushing the match to the close margin with narrowly losing with the score of 13 and 14. Her journey from the qualifiers to challenging a seeded player reflects her growing potential and resilience on the courts.
Dimple is a Class IX student of Vidya Vikas Academy, Margao, and has been taking Badminton training under the guidance of coach Vinayak Kamat.
