RAIA: Candolim SC downed SCC Loutolim 3-0 to storm into the quarter-finals of 52nd Custodio memorial football tournament played at the Raia panchayat ground, on Friday.
The first goal of the match was netted by Anuj Kutikar of Candolim SC in the 9th minute. Nikil Naik doubled the lead for Candolim SC in the 42nd minute.
SCC Loutolim’s Velroy Fernandes missed a chance to score.
Candolim SC netted the third goal through Chetan Dhobolkar in the 46th minute. SCC Loutoulim coach Jose Colaco was on his toes to guide his team in the second half, while Candolim SC coach Joe was instrumental in guiding his team at his best.
The man-of-the-match was awarded to Nikil Naik by former Goa Football Association executive and Secretary of Cuncolim Educational Institute Prakash Dessai.
