CORTALIM: Bidesh XI downed Blink FC 2-0 in the final to emerge champions in the first All Goa women futsal tournament organised by Cortalim Villagers Social Welfare Sports Club, Cortalim, at the D’Sila Futsal ground, Cortalim, recently.
Bidesh XI played an attacking game and displayed wonderful skills and scored two goals in the regulation time. Blink FC tried their best to equalise and move up but they could not beat the rival goalkeeper.
Cortalim MLA and patron of Cortalim Villagers Social Welfare Sports Club Antonio Vas presided and gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up Rs 30,000 and 20,000 respectively besides the trophies in the presence of chief guest Cortalim Zilla Parishad member Merciana Vas, former Zilla Parishad member Cynthia D’Silva, Paulo D’Souza and others dignitaries.
Karishma of Bidesh XI was declared as the best player of the tournament, while Astrid Pereira of Blink FC awarded the best goalkeeper of the tournament.
