RAIA: Calangute Veterans got the better of Murida Veterans 6-5 via tie-breaker to enter the final of 4th Rosary Parish 8-a-side veterans football tournament organised by Rosary Veterans, at Laymati ground, Davorlim.
Both teams remained 2-2 draw at full time.
Calangute Veterans scored the first goal in the 7th minute through Vijay from outside the box beating Murida Veterans goalkeeper Succour Azavedo and crush into the net.
Seby Vaz of Murida brought the team on equal terms before half time.
In the second session, Murida took the lead in the 34th minute of play through Seby, who completed his brace, but Calangute Veterans fought back and found the equaliser in the injury time through Prashant.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Calangute Veterans proved to be the better shooters to enter the final.
