PANJIM: Chandan Caro continued his dominant run at the Late Manohar Sawkar Goa State Table Tennis Championship 2024-25, securing his place in two finals on Day 2, at the Peddem Sports Complex. He will meet Ruhaan Shaikh in the boys U-13 final and face Rishan Shaikh in the boys U-15 final. In the girls categories, Ishita Colaso will compete for dual titles, clashing with Aarna Lotlikar in the U-13 girls final and taking on Neeza Kamat in the U-15 girls final.
In the boys U-13 quarterfinals, Chandan Caro and Ruhaan Shaikh displayed their mastery, each securing hard-fought wins in the semi-finals. Chandan edged past Yug Prabhu, 3-2, in a thrilling match, while Ruhaan breezed past Dhruva Kamat, 3-0, to set up the final showdown.
In the girls U-13 category, Ishita Colaso defeated Aayushi Amonkar 3-1 in the semi-finals, while Aarna Lotlikar earned her spot in the final with a dramatic 3-2 win over Samaira Verlekar.
In the boys U-15 division, Chandan Caro advanced to the final after a tense 3-2 victory over Dhruva Kamat, while Rishan Shaikh overcame Atharv Dhupalkar 3-1 in the semi-finals.
The girls U-15 category saw strong performances from Neeza Kamat and Ishita Colaso. Neeza secured her place in the final with a 3-1 win over Pradnya Caro, while Ishita dominated Sanisha Sinha 3-0 in the semi-finals.
