RAIA: Cortalim Villagers SWSC cruised to a 4-0 victory over Pax of Nagoa SC in their Goa Professional League match at Nagoa Panchayat ground on Tuesday.
All four goals for Cortalim Villagers came in the first half. Ponif Vaz of Pax of Nagoa SC was sent off in the 43rd minute. Prathmesh Gaonkar was the star of the match, netting a superb hat-trick with goals in the 69th, 73rd, and 85th minutes. Substitute Leo Gomendes added the final goal in the 5th minute of added time, sealing an emphatic win for Cortalim Villagers.
Compassion SC dominate
Compassion SC secured a commanding 5-0 victory over Union of Chinchinim Villagers in the GFA U-13 girls’ match at King's School ground, São José de Areal. Jasmine Baral led the charge with a brace, while Leska Alfonso, Asma Bandodkar, and substitute Skye Fernandes added to the tally.
At Cansaulim Sports Complex ground, in the GFA U-13 Division I League, Guardian Angel SC and Cortalim Villagers Social Welfare SC played out a goalless draw at. Both teams fought hard, but neither managed to break the deadlock.
