MARGAO: Cosmos United, PDK Kings and SynQ Rangers stamped their authority on the opening day of the Sarsangan Desserts n More Futsal Super Series 2025, each registering emphatic wins, at The Base Futsal ground, Seraulim.
Cosmos United began with a 5-3 victory over Sniper FC, where Vibhil Lad scored twice to earn the man-of-the-match award. Mihir Dalvi, Balkrishna Misquin and Soham Prabhugaunkar also found the net. Cosmos followed up with an 8-3 triumph against Rookies FC, powered by doubles from Soham Prabhugaunkar and Amay Barad. Goalkeeper Shailesh Miskin was named man-of-the-match for his commanding display.
PDK Kings were equally ruthless, hammering Sniper FC, 9-0, in their opener. Gajanan Kamat struck five, with Prathamesh Prabhu and Arya Shetye adding two apiece. They then beat defending champions Antruz Rising Stars 5-2, with Kamat and Prabhu scoring braces. Sampad Kamat’s all-round display earned him man-of-the-match.
SynQ Rangers produced the day’s most one-sided result, crushing Rookies FC 15-1. Sanat Mhapne fired five goals and Adhiraj Mopkar four, with Mhapne adjudged man-of-the-match.
At the close of play, Cosmos United and PDK Kings led their groups with four points each, while SynQ Rangers remained unbeaten with two points from one match and a +14 goal difference.
