RAIA: Curtorim Gymkhana scored a narrow 2-1 win over Cana-Benaulim SC to move into the semi-finals of 43rd Gold Silver Rolling Trophy football tournament organised by Navelim SC at Rosary church ground, on Thursday.
In the first session of play, both teams showed urgency to score goals but couldn't break the deadlock and remained 0-0 till the half time.
In the second session of play, Curtorim Gymkhana scored two quick goals through Rhay Dias and Veron Fernandes in the 54th and 57th minute, while Jozwan reduce the margin for Cana-Benaulim SC in the 67th minute of play.
The man-of-the-match was awarded to Rhay Fernandes of Curtorim Gymkhana by Aluizio Fernandes, sports secretary of Navelim SC.
