QUEPEM: Devossa downed Cola Boys via the tie-breaker to clinch the Quepem Constituency Mega Football Festival Cup played at Avedem Village Panchayat ground on Sunday.
The score remained 0-0 at full time.
In the tie-breaker Prinson, Xavier, Miljort, Godwin scored for Devossa while Ratnesh, Advay and Sagar scored for Cola Boys. The winners were richer by Rs 1,11,111 while the runners-up had to settle for Rs 55,555 besides a trophy.
Individual winners: Best disciplined team: Devossa; Best goalkeeper: Suraj of Cola Boys; Best defender: Chandresh of Cola Boys; Best midfielder: Alvino of Devossa; Highest scorer: Prinson of Devossa; Player of the final: Ratnesh of Cola Boys.
In the women's exhibition match Alton Warriors beat Quepem Diva’s 2-1.
Alton D’Costa was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of other dignitaries and club officials.
