MAPUSA: Dunes SC Mandrem secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Sinquerim Sports Club to book a spot in the semi-finals of the Candolim Panchayat Cup 2025, organised by Candolim SC and played at Dr Gustavo Monteiro ground, Candolim, on Thursday.
Dunes came close early when Cyprian Rodrigues saw his effort from just outside the box narrowly miss the target in the third minute. The Sinquerim goalkeeper Aniket Naik made two successive saves later in the half to deny Cyprian.
However, in the 55th minute, Cyprian Rodrigues finally found the breakthrough, latching onto a cross from Anand Gad to slot home the match-winner.
