RAIA: Fatorda Veterans entered the quarter-finals of Seraulim Veterans Football Cup defeating Siolim Veterans 3-1, organised by United Sports Club of Seraulim at church ground.
Fatorda Veterans scored their first goal in the 8th minute through Francis Colaco, who scored from a close range, giving no chance to goalkeeper Francis Fernandes.
Their second and third goal came in the 16th and 17th minute through Seby Vaz and Francis Andrade. At half time, the score read 3-0.
Although, the score was 3-0, it was just that Siolim Veterans conceived goals in quick session and took time to settle.
In the second half, Siolim Veterans were a transformed lot bringing in pressure towards the Fatorda Veterans territory and were successful in scoring through Daniel Rosario, who smartly placed the goal past the keeper to take the final score to 3-1. Siolim Veterans Goalkeeper Francis was awarded the man-of-the-match by Seraulim footballer Jesmon Noronha.
