MAPUSA: FC Siolim Sports Club drubbed Holy Cross Arambol by 8-3 margin in the Goa Football Association Division III League Bardez Zone match played at Siolim ground, on Thursday.
Dalesh Pednekar opened the flood gates for FC Siolim in the 7th minute of play. onu Pednekar netted a brace with Manthan, Vipul, Gopi, Sadanand and Preston adding their names to the scorers’ list.
Christe Alfonso scored a hat-trick for Holy Cross Arambol.
At Assonora ground, Siddeshwar Sports Club registered a 2-0 win over Eagles SC. Mohammed Pathan scored for the winners with Eagles SC’s Avinash Bamaikar scoring a self goal.
At Moira ground, Ucassaim SC registered a hard fought 1-0 win over Benny XI Mapuca. The all-important goal for the winners came in the 51st minute of play through the boots of Prakash Rathod.
Parish Youth Nuvem trounced Futebol Club YFA 4-0 to register win in the match played at Verna Panchayat ground. Leroy Colaco, Meislein Barreto and Joyston Rodrigues scored a goal each for Parish Youth Nuvem, while Riddhesh Madgaonkar of Futebol Club YFA scored an own goal.
At Dando ground, Benaulim, match between St Anthony’s Club, Colva, and United Club of Dando, Colva, ended in a 1-1 draw. Fanslam Correia gave an early lead to United Club of Dando, which was later cancelled by Arron Fernandes on a spot kick for UC Dando.
At Varca Church ground, Varca Sports Club downed Dando Boys Club, Benaulim, by 2-0. Macklin Mascarenhas and substitute Anurag Das scored a goal each for Varca Sports Club.
