RAIA: FC Goa have bolstered their squad for the 2025–26 Indian Super League season with the signings of veteran Spanish midfielder David Timor and striker Javier Siverio, completing their foreign contingent as they gear up for a crucial campaign that includes continental fixtures.

David Timor, 35, joins from Spain after a career spanning nearly 500 games, including over 150 La Liga appearances for clubs such as Valencia, Osasuna, Leganés, and Getafe. A product of Valencia CF’s academy, Timor is known for his leadership, range of passing, and long-range shooting ability.

“He is a very experienced player and a leader. He has a good left foot, scores from outside the box and will be vital for us this season,” said FC Goa head coach Manolo Marquez.

Timor expressed his delight at joining FC Goa, saying: “I’m very happy to be part of one of the biggest clubs in the league. Everything has been easy since I arrived — I feel welcomed and I’m ready to help the team achieve its goals.”

He joins fellow Spaniards Iker Guarrotxena, Borja Herrera, Pol Moreno and Javier Siverio, becoming the sixth and final foreign player in the Gaurs’ squad.

Javier Siverio, 27, arrives with a strong track record in Indian football, having scored 31 goals since 2021. He previously played for Hyderabad FC - where he won the ISL title under Manolo Marquez - and later helped East Bengal to a Super Cup win.

“Siverio is a natural goal scorer. He’s maybe the best header of the ball in the ISL and has always been a team player,” said Marquez, who reunites with the striker for the third time after stints in Las Palmas and Hyderabad.

The Tenerife-born forward shared his excitement: “When a big club like FC Goa calls, it’s an easy decision. I know the coach and some of my teammates from Hyderabad, which made settling in quicker. I can’t wait to contribute on the pitch.”

Both Timor and Siverio have begun training with the squad in Goa as preparations continue for the upcoming AFC Champions League qualifier and ISL campaign.
