MAPUSA: The Goa Amateur Boxing Association (GABA) will conduct selection trials on July 24, at the boxing hall, Dayanand Sankool – Multipurpose Sports Complex, Peddem, to finalise the State team for the 4th sub-junior (U-15) boys and girls National Boxing Championship, scheduled from August 6 to 14, at Galgotias University, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Boxers born between January 1m 2011 and December 31, 2012 are eligible and must be registered with GABA and/or BFI, and residents of Goa for the last six months.
Weight categories: 30–33kg, 35kg, 37kg, 40kg, 43kg, 46kg, 49kg, 52kg, 55kg, 58kg, 61kg, 64kg, 67kg, 70kg & +70kg. The last date to submit entry is July 22, by 5 pm via email only at goaboxing@gmail.com. Entries must include full personal details, a passport-size photo, Aadhaar number, contact information, GABA registration number, and details of the boxing centre and coach. Entries must be countersigned by the coach, who must also accompany the boxer to the trials.
Participants must carry originals and photocopies of: Medical record book (GABA/ BFI), birth certificate or school leaving certificate, bonafide certificate and marksheet, Aadhaar card, passport-size photo, BFI annual medical fitness certificate (govt. hospital, past 3 months), age estimation certificate (as per NCAFS & SAI norms), hepatitis B, C and HIV test reports (govt. hospital, past 3 months).
