MAPUSA: Goa delivered a stellar performance, defeating West Bengal 3-0 in the Sub-Junior Boys' National Football Championship at KSFA Stadium, Bengaluru, on Wednesday. With their tournament hopes on the line, Goa's coach Covan Lawrence fielded his strongest lineup.

The breakthrough came in the 64th minute when Aryan Uday Lingudkar's stunning 35-yard free-kick rocketed into the top corner, giving Goa a 1-0 lead. Energised by the goal, Goa capitalised on a defensive error in the 75th minute as Elsan D'Souza doubled the lead with a right-footed strike from the edge of the box.

Joseph D'Costa sealed the win with a brilliant lob over the Bengal goalkeeper, making it 3-0.

Goa's Aryan Uday Lingudkar received the man-of-the-match award.
