VILLA-MAREX-CHANDOR: Govol registered a solitary goal win over Karan FC Goa to move into the quarter-finals of the 17th Villa MAREX Chandor Seamen football tournament, at Villa Marex ground, Chandor, on Monday.
Jovito Gomes and Josly Peixoto missed chances for Karan FC in the 12th and 16th minutes respectively. As the match progressed in the second half, Melvin D’Mello scored the match-winner for Govol in the 45th minute.
Goval will now meet Sun Moon Star in the quarter-finals.
