RAIA: Guardian Angel Sports Club, Curchorem, defeated Maina Sports Club 3-1 to move into the final of 32nd Curtorim Panchayat Cup organised by Curtorim Gymkhana, on Tuesday.
Maina SC took the lead through Freddy Hilario, who chipped the ball over the Guardian Angel SC goalkeeper, but the joy was short-lived as Guardian Angel SC soon equalised through Jason Dias making it 1-1. Jason then registered his brace for Guardian Angel SC as he beautifully placed the ball in the left bottom corner of Maina SC net, making it 2-1.
Prakash Joshi goalkeeper of Maina Sports Club made some beautiful saves to keep Guardian Angel SC strikers at bay. Jason of Guardian Angel SC finally scored his hat-trick to seal the fate, 3-1.
Jason Dias was awarded the man-of-the-match by Coleman and Shane Rebello.
