What could have been anybody’s game has now gone to the incredible Indian side, who produced a thriller against the Three Lions. Shubman Gill’s camp thumped the English team as India pulled off a stunning comeback to defeat England by 6 runs on the final day of the fifth Test, leveling the fiercely contested series at 2-2.

Prasidh Krishna sparked India’s final-day fightback at The Oval, delivering a pinpoint yorker to clean up Josh Tongue for a duck and force an injured Chris Woakes to walk out and bat. His crucial breakthrough shifted the momentum and piled pressure back on England, who were closing in on what seemed an inevitable victory.

At the other end, Gus Atkinson took it upon himself to shield Woakes, swinging almost every ball for a boundary in a desperate bid to finish the chase quickly. But his gamble backfired spectacularly.

Mohammed Siraj, showing why he’s called the “man of steel,” produced a match-winning spell for the ages. He picked up his fifth five-wicket haul in Test cricket, including the decisive wicket of Atkinson, trapped by a perfect yorker. Siraj’s double strike earlier in the morning had already turned the tide, striking in his first over to remove Jamie Smith and put England firmly on the back foot.

Though the English tail showed flashes of resistance, Siraj’s relentless accuracy proved too much to handle. His final blow sealed a famous 6-run victory for India, levelling the fiercely fought series 2-2 in a finish that will be remembered for years to come.
