Faf, who has missed the last five matches due to injury, has now recovered and could play in the match against RCB. This update was shared by Jack Fraser McGurk during the pre-match press conference. Du Plessis, who was the captain of RCB until last season, is now a part of Delhi Capitals in the current season.
The opening batter had been struggling with a back injury and had been out of action for the last five matches. However, he is now fit and could feature in the match against his former franchise, RCB. “I think Faf will be available for the match tomorrow. He should be available for selection,” Fraser said.
Faf got injured during the match against RCB on April 10, 2025. He was chasing an extra cover shot by Rajat Patidar and injured himself while trying to catch the ball. Now that he has recovered, Faf could make his return in the Delhi vs RCB match today, April 27. In the three matches he has played this season, Faf has scored 81 runs and has already hit a half-century in IPL 2025.
