FATORDA: Top Goan table tennis talents Ishita Colaso, Ruhaan Shaikh, Aarna Lotlikar, and Yug Prabhu will lead the challenge in the 37th VM Salgaocar All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, scheduled to be held from August 4 to 6, at the Multipurpose Stadium, here, from 3 pm.

Organised by Cortalim Gymkhana under the aegis with Goa Table Tennis Association, this eagerly anticipated tournament will also feature rising stars namely Ishaan Colaso and Ashank Dalvi (U-11), Anaya Shukla and Shaurya Dessai (U-11 girls), besides other young talents such as Vedant Wagle, Aayushi Amonkar and Dhruva Kamat.

With national ranking gold medallist Chandan Caro opting out, the U-15 boys crown is wide open, with Ruhaan, Yug, Dhruva and Vedant Wagle eyeing their moment of glory. Among the rising stars to watch out for are Aarish Shaikh, Tvisha Kotkar, Claire George, Sachi Dessai, Tisha Shaikh, Gianna George and Kavyaa Khalap, who can be expected to make a strong impression.

The tournament will be held across U-11, U-13, and U-15 categories for both boys and girls, and promises high-quality action with participation from Goa’s brightest talents.

“We’re delighted to see Cortalim Gymkhana revive the 37th edition of this historic tournament after the Covid-19 induced pause. It has been a prestigious event in Goa’s table tennis calendar, and such efforts take the sport forward,” said Sudin Verenkar, president of the Goa Table Tennis Association.
