RAIA: Jolly Boys of Sinaibhag had to wait till the end to down Madel Sports Club 3-0 via tie-breaker to enter into the quarter-finals of 2nd Caniza Peixoto memorial football tournament organised by Black Arrow Boys and Agxem Sports Club at the St Alex Church ground, Curtorim, on Friday.
Both teams played an attacking soccer and got equal numbers of chances but couldn't break the deadlock till the final whistle and the winner was decided by penalty shoot-out.
In the deceive penalty shoot-out, Jolly Boys of Sinaibhag netted through Joeban, Ryan and Nathan but Madel SC failed to shot on target. Saish Korgaonkar of Madel Sports Club was awarded man-of-the-match by Standly Fernandes, Agxem Sports Club member.
