PANJIM: Madgaon Royal Warriors, Tridents CC, Vetal Maharudra Cricketers and CD Royal Supernovas booked semi-finals berth in the Friendship Shield 2025 T20 cricket tournament played at SK ground, Malkarnem-Canacona, recently.
In the last two league stage matches of the tournament, Madgaon Royal Warriors beat Margao Hurricanes by 37 runs and Tridents CC beat SC United Divine Boys by 17 runs.
The semi-finals will be played on Saturday.
Batting first, Madgaon Royal Warriors scored 163/7 in 20 overs (Sanat Prabhudesai 47, Damodar Patnekar 38) were the top scorers. For Margao Hurricanes, Gaurav Phaldesai, 3/31, was at his best.
In reply, Margao Hurricanes scored 126/10 in 19.2 overs (Sumit Kirtani 30, Shaheen Surlakar 28). For Madgaon Royal Warriors, Shaunit Sawardekar 3/21, Siddesh Pandit, Ganraj Desai and Aman Komarpant two wicket each.
Shaunit Sawardekar got Shin player -of –the-match award. He received it from Gaurav Phaldesai.
In another match, batting first, Tridents CC scored 152/9 in 20 overs (Sahil Bukkam 33, Viraj Khandeparkar 31). For SC United Divine Boys, Shivam Gaud 2/13.
In reply, SC United Divine Boys managed to score 135/7 in 20 overs (Rajdeep Fatarpekar 5, Rahul Revankar 20). For Tridents CC, Siddhant Kunde 2/23. Siddhant Kunde got the Shin player-of -the-match award from Mohit Kamat.
