RAIA: Mandopa Sports Club got the better of Arlem Youth Association 6-4 via the tie-breaker to enter the quarter-finals of the 1st Inacio Colaco Memorial Football Tournament, organised by Mandopa Sports Club and played at Rosary Church ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
The teams were locked at 2–2 at the end of regulation time. For Mandopa SC, Venito scored in the 10th minute and Ronaldo added a second in the 48th. Arlem responded through Velito in the 16th minute and Leran in the 23rd.
With no further goals, the match was decided on penalties, where Mandopa SC proved to be the better shooters and sealed their place in the last eight.
Joyson of Mandopa Sports Club was named man-of-the-match and received the award from former international footballer Anthony Pereira.
