RAIA: Margao Sports Club crowned champions of 14th Wilred Leisure Soccer Cup 2025 as they blanked Sao Jose de Areal 3-0 in an exciting final played under the floodlights with huge crowd at the DSYA ground, Curtorim, on Saturday.
Margao Sports Club were on fire from the word go and scored three quick goals through Edgar Noronha, Ashley Arauno and Sereino fernandes in the first half of play and later outplayed Sao Jose de Areal to keep the lead till the final whistle.
Chief guest Curtorim MLA and Goa Industrial Development Corporation Chairman Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco gave away the prizes in the presence of Managing Director of Times Leisure Xavier Vas, Finance Director of Times Leisure Raghuveer Kuncolekar, Sarpanch, VP Curtorim Alcino D’Silva, Curtorim Zilla Parishad member Michelle Rebelo, Referee South Goa President Costantino Paul, Curtorim Gymkhana President Arnaldo Costa Goa Football Association South Goa Vice-President Anthony Pango Assolna Sports Club President Jackson Fernandes South Central Railway Volleyball Player Stacy Fernandes Sesa Football Academy head coach Charles Dias, Sporting Clube de Goa U-18 Assistant Coach Francisco Savio Vas, Wilred Leisure Sports Club president and committee members and other dignitaries.
