
RAIA: Mira Boys Canada lifted the inaugural all-Goa 5-a-side Clube-de-Santa-Ana Football Trophy by defeating Dragon FC in the final. A total of 32 teams participated in the tournament. Mira Boys took home a cash prize of Rs 25,000 along with the trophy, while Dragon FC received Rs 15,000 and a trophy.
Joseph School of Football, Caranzalem, and Ponda emerged as winners of the 1st Clube-de-Santa-Ana grassroots football tournament. In the penalty shootout for ladies, Celine Dias claimed the trophy and a gift hamper, while Pio Rodrigues received a trophy and a gift hamper for the longest goal kick.
A special Aarohi Kumari football scheme recognition certificate for girls was awarded to Mazel Fernandes and her parents by Fr Francis Rozario and Luis Fernandes, who were special invitees for the tournament. Fr Francis and Luis presented the prizes to all the winners. Clube-de-Santa-Ana President Jonas Andreda thanked everyone for their support.
