PANJIM: Mount Mary’s High School, Bethany Convent High School, Immaculate Conception High School and Marina English High School registered impressive victories in their respective categories as the Next Gen League 3.0 unfolded over two days of competitive school football action.
In Round 1 of the U-15 boys Sapphire Division on July 22, Mount Mary’s High School, Chinchinim earned a well-deserved win over St Pius X High School, Orlim. Mayden Rebello was instrumental in the victory and was named Player of the Match for his standout performance.
Later the same day, in the U-17 boys Group B, Round 3 encounter, Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal defeated Fr Agnel Multipurpose High School, Verna. Sweldon Viegas led from the front with a commanding display and was adjudged Player of the Match.
On July 23, Immaculate Conception High School, Paroda edged past St Rita High School, Curtorim in a Group A, Round 3 U-17 Boys fixture. Joswal Almeida’s pivotal contribution earned him the player of the match award.
In Group D, Round 3 of the same category, Marina English High School, Verna recorded a victory over Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim. Joydan Colaco impressed with his consistent play and walked away with the Player of the Match accolade.
