MANGESHI: The temple village of Mangeshi will come alive with sporting action as the 7th Mangeshi All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament unfolds from July 22 to 24, at the VD & SV Wagle High School, near the Mangeshi Temple.
The event will feature competitions in the U-11, U-13 and U-15 categories for both boys and girls.
Top seeds in the boys’ section include Ishaan Colaso, Ashank Dalvi, Ruhaan Shaikh, Yug Prabhu, Chandan Caro, and Dhruva Kamat, while the girls’ draw is led by Anaya Shukla, Shaurya Dessai, Aayushi Amonkar, Sachi Dessai, Aarna Lotlikar and Ishita Colaso. Promising challengers to watch out for include Vedant Wagle, Yuvaan Sanke, Chinmay Bhakare, Kedar Nair, Aarish Shaikh, Shreysht Rane, Tvisha Kotkar, Claire George, Samaira Verlekar, Anaya Srivastava, Tisha Shaikh and Gianna George.
Organised by the Mangirish Vidyadayini Samstha in association with the Wagle High School Diamond Jubilee Celebration Committee and under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association, the tournament is a key feature of the school’s diamond jubilee celebrations.
"The school has long supported education and sport and I applaud the organising team for organising this 7th edition during the historic 60th year celebrations,” said Sudin Verenkar, president of Goa Table Tennis Association.
