RAIA: Navelim Villagers Union scored a hard-fought solitary goal win over Guardian Angel SC to emerge champions in the St Sebastian Trophy 9th All Goa Inter-Village football tournament organised by the St Sebastian Union Club, at St John de Baptista football ground, Benaulim, on Sunday. The all-important goal of the match for Navelim Villagers Union was scored in the 59th minute by Travis Souza. Savio Alemao, vice president of Churchill Brothers SC, was the chief Guest and handed over the prizes in the presence of Cana Benaulim Deputy Sarpanch Glyda Rodrigues, Fr Ligorinho D’Costa, Anthony Pango and other dignitaries.
